County Auditor Levy Calculator and Property Tax Education Session

Jefferson- Ashtabula County Auditor David Thomas announced the roll out of the November 2019 Levy Calculator and tax education session. This November 5th ballot will see 47 tax issues across the county with voters deciding on a variety of levies.

“Our calculator allows homeowners to see more information on the levies this election and how those levies will impact their tax bill”, shared Auditor David Thomas. The Levy Calculator page allows residents to see what is a renewal, additional, or replacement levy and what those mean for tax collection.

“We are also excited to be hosting an education session to inform the public how to use the calculator and about how their property tax rates are determined”, remarked Thomas.

Monday September 23rd at 6pm at the Ashtabula County District Library the Auditor’s Office will provide information on property valuations, tax rates, and share their levy calculator for those with questions or who may not have internet. The session is free and open to the public. Topics such as how values are determined, tax savings programs, and the impact of levies on this November’s ballot will be discussed.
