Thank you to all who participated or voted in our 2019 Dog License Coloring Contest! We had over 170 submissions with every local school district represented for the coloring contest and voters consisting of County employees and residents. Positive Economic Indicator for Ashtabula County!

Auditor Thomas Releases Positive Economic Indicator for Ashtabula County Jefferson- Ashtabula County Auditor David Thomas announced total collections for the county’s sales tax for the 2019 Fiscal Year. Collections were up from previous years, a sign of good economic progress he shared. Ashtabula County collected $10,806,213.82 in sales tax for Fiscal Year 2019, a $433,734.22 increase over 2018, which covers sales from November 2018 to October 2019. This is the second highest collection in ten years with 2016’s collection of $10,835,143 serving as the decade’s highest and 2010’s collection of $8,553,790 being the decade’s lowest. Ashtabula- Recognitions for Realtor, Broker, and Affiliate member of the Year were awarded at the Annual Ashtabula County Board of REALTORS Christmas Dinner. Auditor Thomas Urges Caution with Uncovered Online Fraud Scheme

Jefferson- Ashtabula County Auditor David Thomas is asking residents to be cautious when making online purchases of licenses sold through the Auditor’s Office. 2020 Dog Licenses on sale now in Ashtabula County

Jefferson- In addition to the holly and mistletoe this Christmas, it is also Dog License Season at the Ashtabula County Auditor’s Office. Ashtabula County Auditor David Thomas is holding a coloring contest for area children in an effort to promote dog licenses this holiday season. Participants can get their coloring sheet by stopping into the Auditor’s Office in Jefferson or going online to to print off a copy. “For many families, their dog is like another member of the family,” shared Auditor Thomas. “Dog licenses help protect them and provides resources for vital services in our community.
