Auditor Thomas Elected to District Auditor Office

November 25, 2019 FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE AREA COUNTY AUDITORS ELECTED TO DISTRICT OFFICES Ashtabula County Auditor David Thomas was installed as Secretary/Treasurer of the Northeast District of the County Auditors’ Association of Ohio (CAAO) for 2020 at their annual Winter Conference. Also installed were President Medina County Auditor Michael Kovack and Vice President Carroll County Auditor Lynn Fairclough. County Auditor David Thomas Holds Dog License Coloring Contest

Jefferson- Ashtabula County Auditor David Thomas is holding a coloring contest for area children in an effort to promote dog licenses this holiday season. Participants can get their coloring sheet by stopping into the Auditor’s Office in Jefferson or going online to to print off a copy. “For many families, their dog is like another member of the family,” shared Auditor Thomas. “Dog licenses help protect them and provides resources for vital services in our community. Historical Property Searching Lunch & Learn

County Auditor David Thomas to Host Historical Property Searching Lunch and Learn Jefferson- Ashtabula County Auditor David Thomas announces an upcoming education session focused on historical research and tools from the Auditor’s Office residents can use. This Lunch & Learn session will be held on Monday, November 18th from noon to 1pm at the Ashtabula County Auditor’s Office in Jefferson. GIS Education Session Success

Ashtabula County Auditor David Thomas held a well-attended education session on GIS at the Kingsville Public Library. Over 40 residents came to the library’s monthly series, Educate and Create, to hear staff members of the Auditor’s Office review the Ashtabula County GIS (Geographic Information System) and how the public can utilize this tool. Staff members Caroline Petersen and Alex Iarocci displayed the online system while residents followed along in library laptops and personal devices. “Our GIS team does an excellent job working with other county departments, local governments, and residents who come into the office for help”, shared Auditor David Thomas.
